Environment Agency Works – Farington Park

The Environment Agency (EA) are planning to undertake essential culvert repairs in the vicinity of Farington Park which are to commence on 25 October and are due to last for approximately 9 weeks.

The work will necessitate the placing of a site compound on the park for the duration of the works. The position of the site compound is shown on the attached plan Leyland WC1 – Site Layout & Logistics Plan.

The site compound will be occupied  by and the work will be undertaken by VolkerStevin acting as contractors for the Environment Agency. The compound will have a stone base which  will be removed at the end of the contract and all the land will be required to be made good to its former condition.

Vehicular access will be via Bashall Grove to the south of the park and track matt will be laid at the appropriate points to minimise damage from vehicles movements.

The paths within the park will be partially closed and we will request advance signage before the work starts to notify people who use the park.
